Paul Hopkins has been portraying the celebrated “Big O” for many years now and is one of the very few who can touch the masterpiece of the original. Paul is a semi-operatic tenor with an exquisite falsetto that resonates around the room and straight into the hearts of the audience.
Legendary singer/songwriter Roy Orbison is known globally for his heart-breaking and melancholic singing style and this makes for a thought-provoking addition to the show. A shy man with dark glasses, who hardly ever spoke to his audience, but still made a powerful statement with every word he sang and endeared himself to millions of fans worldwide.
Dressed all in black, Paul will lead you to believe that you actually are in the presence of this great icon and deliver every song in that shy, yet soulful way that we all associate with Roy Orbison.
During the show Paul will be playing a black Gibson 335 guitar which is an exact limited edition replica of the original played by “The Big O”. The Gibson guitar factory in Memphis only made 200 and Paul picked his up personally.
